Homes, townhomes and condos that sold in  Hawthorne during February 2022

February 2022 was a busier month in terms of the number of homes closing escrow in the city of Hawthorne.  There were 24 closed sales compared with only 15 properties selling in January.   That’s still a low number for Hawthorne but a big improvement from January.

The average “asking” price was $796,542 with the average sold price at $813,427 meaning that, in general, homes sold well higher than the list price. The average price per foot was $679.

Two of the 24 home sales were in the gated community of Three Sixty.  One was a fairly rare “loft” unit at 5550 Boardwalk that sold quickly and closed at $775,000 and the other was a 3rd floor single level condo in the Flats that sold for a pretty amazing $970,000.    See how that compares with other months on our Hawthorne real estate market trends and statistics page.

Let’s take a quick look at the month that was for real estate and home sales in Hawthorne CA.  Overall January was a pretty slow month in terms of the number of homes that sold with only 14 total on market home, townhome and condo sales.  The median home prices was $875,000 and an average days on market 27.

Of the 14 home sales 3 were in Hollyglen and of those 2 were in the gated community of Three Sixty South Bay.  One was a record setting condo sale in the Flats at 13032 Union  #303 and the other was yet another record setting sale….this time of the smallest residence 1 floorplan in the Terraces at 5245 Pacific Terrace that closed at an amazing $1,455,000. Let’s take a quick look at the December home sales number for December 2021.   There were 32 home, townhome and condo sales in all of Hawthorne CA during the month which was a bit lower than the 42 sold homes during the prior December.  The median price of the sold homes was  $909,000 and homes averaged only 17 days on the market before going into pending status.
