Hawthorne Real Estate at a Glance – August Market Recap

While the real estate market in 360 is quite a bit different thant the rest of Hawthorne, it’s still important to understand what is happinging in the broader market that is Hawthorne real estate. August was a great month for home sales and prices in Hawthorne CA.
There were 37 homes sold compared with 27 a year earlier.  The median home price was an impressive $761,ooo.  The average days on market before going into escrow was a very short 20.  View the homes that sold during August and the home prices in Hawthorne for the month.

See the homes that Sold in Hawthorne CA During August

While Three Sixty South Bay is really it’s own real estate market, it’s still important to understand what’s happening regarding home sales in Hawthorne CA….the city that 360 is in.

Both the number of homes that sold, and overall prices were definitely impressive in August.  There were 37 home sales in Hawthorne during the month which was the most homes sold since June of last year.

The median “asking” price during the month was $790,000 with the median “sold” price at $795,000 meaning that, in general, homes sold higher than the list price indicating a very strong market favoring sellers. The average price per foot was $521 and the average days on market was only 22 with the median being 7!

17 of the homes that sold were in the Hollyglen/Del Aire neighborhoods and median prices were once again strongly impacted  by the home sales in Three Sixty South Bay.  There were 7 sales in the gated community during August at a median price of $885,000.

Hawthorne Real Estate – Home Sales and Prices for May 2020

While 360 is in the unincorporated neighborhood of Hollyglen, it has a Hawthorne mailing address and it’s always good to keep up with thenew construction townhomes in Hawthorne market. May was a predictably slow month for home sales in Hawthorne CA with only 14 home sales. Compare that with 41 home sales in May of 2019 and you can see what the impacts of our current situation is. Having said that median listing prices were $702,000 with the median “sold” price of $694,000 indicating that there’s still quite a bit of buyer demand. The average price per foot was $510.92.

Of all the home sales only one was located in 360 and was a 3 bedroom townhome located at 13220 Central AVE #102
