While the gated community of Three Sixty South Bay is a great place to live….maybe you want to expand your horizons…..and your home search.
Welcome to the Manhattan Beach tree section, one of the most popular neighborhoods in Manhattan Beach due to the real neighborhood feel with tree lined streets, proximity to the beach, parks and more. Despite the fact that this area has far more trees than other parts of Manhattan Beach the “tree section” is actually called this due to the names of the streets. Streets like Maple, Elm, Oak, Poinsettia, Palm and Pine are just a few.
Sitting just behind the sand section the combination larger lots and more restrictive zoning gives the tree section a very different look and feel. The area near American Martyrs Church offers some of the best of both worlds where homes enjoy some ocean views while being on lots often much larger than in the sand section.

The streets are generally a bit quieter in this area, the lots are a little bigger, there are almost no townhomes and the homes all have some type of front and back yards. The area is intersected by a strip that long ago was the trolley route known as the green belt which is a great place to walk the dogs, go for a jog, or just take a scenic route to downtown Manhattan. The homes in the area are as diverse as the population with a great deal of larger new construction homes in the high $3.0M and up range, and many original homes that keep the area from looking too overbuilt.
As with all Manhattan Beach neighborhoods the schools are amazing and are often ranked towards the top schools in the state. The elementary school for most of the tree section is award winning Pacific Elementary and the area is close enough to the beach to enjoy warmer winters and cooler summers and is just a short bike ride to the coast.
